About bg

Everyone’s got a story to tell, so here’s ours…

Founded in 2010 by film maker Tom Chown, Digitom is an award-winning production company, drawing on nearly three decades of factual and documentary experience.

We work with clients across the UK and internationally to produce human centred content that supports culture, communication and learning.

We specialise in factual human interest storytelling — whether for communications, recruitment, training, sustainability or brand building.

Our work has grown through long term relationships, referrals and repeat collaborations, which is a genuine complement to our process, our values and the experience of working together.

This has led to a natural alignment with organisations across public services, education, healthcare, transport, financial services, technology and other values driven sectors. No two projects are ever the same, but it’s that variety which keeps the work fresh.

We work directly with clients and agencies, collaborating with a core team of broadcast professionals, which allows us to remain agile and responsive while maintaining the professionalism and reliability our clients expect.

How we work

We help organisations communicate with clarity and purpose by creating people‑led video communications that are grounded in factual storytelling, using human stories to show how values are lived, how impact is delivered, and how expectations translate into everyday behaviour.

By focusing on real people, real scenarios and real outcomes, our work supports recruitment, internal communications and Learning and Development, helping audiences understand not just what is expected of them, but why it matters.

Each project begins with understanding the audience and the desired outcome, then using our editorial experience to shape a creative treatment that delivers outstanding results for our clients.

This allows us to create work that is editorially strong, emotionally grounded and aligned with the outcomes our clients need to achieve.

Our values

Digitom was founded with a belief in contributing to a more empathetic, cohesive society, and achieving B Corp™ certification in June 2023 reinforced our commitment to people, planet and community.

We value openness and integrity from the long‑term creative relationships we’ve built over many years, which enables us to deliver consistently high‑quality content, while staying true to the values that underpin our work.

Certification is not an end goal, it’s a journey that requires continuous improvement therefore we’re required to produce an annual Impact Report, sharing our community engagement initiatives and sustainable practices, whilst setting new objectives.
