Founded in 2010 by seasoned broadcaster Tom Chown in response to growing demand for professional online video content, Digitom’s talented film-makers deploy the best high-definition equipment and motion graphics to create independent films, viral campaigns and commercial videos.

We've worked with the NHS, Savills, SIBA, Novartis Animal Health, Yahoo US, MSD, Roche and O2 as well as producing films for ITN Productions and TwoFour Digital with HSBC & First Direct.




Tom Chown, Managing Director
Underpinned by his deep experience in format development, location and studio directing, Tom has an intuitive understanding of branding and social media awareness. With an instinctive eye for self-shooting, his track record at the BBC across current affairs and news continues to drive his passion for film-making.

Tom was nominated as Highly Commended for Broadcast News/Current Affairs programme of the Year for a series he filmed at the North Pole for BBC News in 2006. He was also Highly Commended TV Journalist of the Year in 2008, whilst Deputy Editor of a Ten Alps IPTV pilot. Digitom Ltd was recognised with the Award for Best Corporate Communications by the Beer Writers' Guild for the "Proud of British Beer" film Tom produced with writer Pete Brown for SIBA in 2011.


Ben Lavington-Martin, Creative Director
Ben is an award winning film director and editor with ten years experience in high-end documentaries for both UK and international broadcasters. With an eye for detail he combines strong narrative and visual senses with editing expertise and has a track record of delivering innovative films.

He directed and edited short film 'DUST', which won Best use of Archive in a Short Production at the Focal Awards, and was subsequently nominated for Best Short at BAFTA in 2011.
